Morgan Selected as a 2008 Champion of Diversity
Roderick H. Morgan, Bingham McHale, has been selected as a 2008 Champion of Diversity by the Indiana Minority Business Magazine (IMBM). As a reward recipient, he has exhibited the true meaning of diversity in his respective field as well as with his outreach. Morgan will be recognized during the 2008 Champions of Diversity Awards dinner on January 17, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Champion of Diversity Volunteer Awards are given to individuals that have demonstrated an outstanding level of dedication to the Diversity Council mission of creating an inclusive and welcoming community.*
Morgan, a partner at Bingham McHale, is a member of the business and government services departments and chairs the firm’s diversified business solutions team. He recently received the Diversity in Practice Award in the “Attorney” category, presented by the Indiana Lawyer. Morgan serves as the president/chairman of the board for the Indianapolis Black Chamber of Commerce. He was also chairman of the board of Vincennes University from 2005 to December 2007.
Morgan is a retired Army Judge Advocate General and has served as legal advisor to political and military leaders and as an associate professor of law. He has over 27 years of legal experience as a litigator in criminal, civil and administrative matters. For the last 12 years, his practice has involved representing state and local governmental units as bond, underwriter and issuer counsel on a multitude of complex tax-exempt and taxable bond issues. He has co-authored several textbooks and publications on constitutional, administrative and business law. Morgan is also a member of the government services department.
