Alex is a senior associate in the firm's Litigation Department. Alex continues to build a very diverse practice, where he focuses on wide-ranging commercial and business litigation. He has tried numerous bench trials and jury trials involving a variety of legal issues.

Prior to attending law school, Alex attended Pepperdine University and was a member of the Men’s Golf Team. He began a successful professional golf career upon graduation, playing all over the world and earning seven professional victories.

Following his successful professional golf career, Alex attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law. While in law school, he was a nationally ranked mock trial competitor, acquiring more Mock Trial Victories than any student in the school's history. He was also a recipient of the prestigious ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award, as well as the John W. Peck Award for Trial Advocacy.

Since beginning his legal practice, Alex has demonstrated his effectiveness as a litigator, winning several civil cases in recent years including a six figure jury award. In 2015, Alex received the prestigious Rising Litigator Award, awarded to two lawyers in the state of Ohio annually by the members of the litigation section of the Ohio State Bar Association.

Representative Cases and Achievements

  • Represented local financial institution in defense of claims for misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference, and civil conspiracy
  • Successfully petitioned the FCC on behalf of a national client for a retroactive waiver of liability under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) based upon confusing and contradictory prior orders of the FCC interpreting TCPA consent requirements
  • Represent corporation in prosecution of misappropriation of trade secrets litigation
  • Represent national gym franchise in putative class action defense
  • Defended a variety of businesses in Telephone Consumer Protection Act class actions including obtaining dismissal of all claims for national corporation through motion
  • Represent international lift truck manufacturer in product liability defense and enforcement of non-competition covenants
  • Represented manufacturing company in toxic tort litigation
  • Represent a variety of business entities in breach of contract matters
