Eric concentrates his practice in commercial litigation. He is experienced in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels. His clients include a broad range of public companies, private companies, non-profits, individuals and governmental entities. Eric has been involved in a wide variety of complex litigation cases, including favorable multi-million dollar jury awards and judgments establishing legal precedents. 

When alternative dispute resolution is determined to be the best solution, Eric is skilled in a variety of dispute resolution procedures aimed at achieving his client's business objectives. He is also certified as a Kentucky Court of Justice Court-Approved Mediator.

During his tenure at Bingham Greenebaum Doll and its predecessor firms, Eric has held several firm, professional and community leadership positions including Member-in-Charge of the Louisville office and the Chair of the Litigation Practice Group. He is currently serving his 11th year as Chair of the Kentucky Board of Bar Examiners and his 19th year as 1 of the 7 Kentucky Bar Examiners appointed by the Kentucky Supreme Court.

  • Central Adjustment Bureau v. Ingram Associates, Inc., Ky. App., 62 S.W.2d 861 (1981) (new law in Kentucky regarding enforceability of post employment covenants not to compete)
  • Hammond v. Baldwin and Toyota Motor Manufacturing, U.S.A., 866 F.2d 172 (6th Cir. 1989) (dismissal of 1983 claim)
