Overview

Henry is an associate in the firm’s Indianapolis office and is a member of the Real Estate and Corporate Services Departments.  Henry assists clients with a broad range of legal issues in the areas of real estate, corporate, lending, economic development and certain litigation. Henry also focuses on helping non-profit entities.

Henry has extensive experience with a variety of real estate issues including acquisition and disposition from negotiation through closing; landlord, tenant, and receiver representation; assisting homeowner and commercial owner associations; and counseling developers on land-use issues. Henry’s practice also includes commercial and real estate lending, representing borrowers, traditional lending institutions, loan funds and non-profit lenders/CDFIs from negotiation through closing of financing transactions. Henry’s role as Secretary of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission adds perspective to his service of his clients in these fields.

Henry serves as corporate counsel and advises privately held businesses and non-profits on a wide range of matters including entity formation, corporate governance, ownership and stockholders issues, business restructuring, commercial contracting, acquisition and disposition,  mergers, capital investment and private placement.  Finally, Henry has substantial experience representing debtors, creditors and other interest-holders in chapter 11, 7 and 13 bankruptcy matters in federal court, related state-court litigation including collection and foreclosures and out-of-court workouts. He continues to litigate such issues and believes that a thorough understating of what to do when things go wrong will help him better serve his clients on the front-end of transactions.

Henry earned his undergraduate degree, with distinction and in three years, from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business – Indianapolis in 2007, where he double majored in Accounting and Finance. He received his law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2010.
