Jay Horrey is a member of the firm’s Business Services Department, where he concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. Jay has worked with a wide variety of businesses including car dealerships, real estate holding and management companies, land developers, breweries and restaurants. He has assisted and advised businesses on litigation, prepared and reviewed contracts, leases, bylaws, articles of incorporation, and asset  and real estate purchase/sale agreements. He’s advised business owners and governing bodies regarding compliance with state and federal laws; prepared corporate bylaws and articles of incorporation for numerous Indiana for-profit and non-profit businesses. Jay has also protected and advocated for the rights of automotive dealerships by representing them in court, reviewing and revising dealer agreements from automotive manufacturers, and advising dealerships on efficient business practices that comply with industry standards.

Prior to joining BGD, he clerked for Mallor Grodner for two years while in law school and joined the firm as an associate in Fall 2012.  Jay earned his J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2012 and his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Wabash College where he was a four-year varsity tennis letterman.
