Scott is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department. He has acquired years of top-firm experience in diverse areas of complex litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. Scott has represented corporate clients in antitrust matters, product liability cases, contract disputes, insurance matters, and other complex commercial litigation. He has also built significant experience in securities litigation and government enforcement defense, including conducting internal corporate investigations. Prior to joining Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, Scott practiced at Latham & Watkins LLP in Washington, D.C.

Scott is also a member of the firm’s E-Discovery Team.  He is experienced with electronic discovery technology and issues, and he has managed numerous large scale e-discovery projects and litigation matters for clients.

Representative Cases and Achievements

  • Trial counsel representing KFC franchisee that defeated preliminary injunction motion in KFC Corporation v. JRN, Inc. (W.D. Ky. 2012), which later settled
  • Lead trial and litigation counsel for numerous dealers and franchisees against national and international suppliers across retail, restaurant and construction and excavating equipment industries
  • Represented banking and other corporate clients in complex contract disputes, intellectual property matters, securities cases and other business litigation
  • White collar criminal defense counsel for diverse corporate clients involving, among other things, SEC investigations and prosecutions into securities fraud, accounting fraud and insider trading; DOJ price fixing investigations and matters involving the False Claims Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; and investigations by the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Outside counsel for numerous internal corporate investigations involving clients in the securities, banking, software, construction, service and retail industries
  • Antitrust advice to clients relating to mergers and acquisitions and disputes regarding distribution, franchisor-franchisee relations and pricing
