Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP offers a depth and breadth of appellate experience, with many of our attorneys listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of Appellate Law.
“Maintains a strong reputation for its handling of trial and appellate cases such as IP disputes, professional liability claims and white-collar criminal defense.” – Chambers and Partners, 2016.
Our appellate team includes former law clerks to judges on the United States courts of appeals, United States district courts, and state appellate courts; the current President of the Kentucky Bar Association; a former Indiana Supreme Court Administrator; a member of the Sixth Circuit Advisory Committee on Rules; a member of the Kentucky Appellate Rules Advisory Committee; the former Chair of the Indiana Supreme Court Rules Committee; former Chairs of the Appellate Sections of the Kentucky and Indiana State Bar Associations; lawyers appointed to serve as Special Justices on the Kentucky Supreme Court; and two of only four lawyers in Indiana recognized as members of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.
Appellate practice is a collaborative process between the trial lawyer and the appellate lawyer, each bringing a distinct perspective in order to achieve the best possible outcome, both at trial and on appeal. Our appellate attorneys often work with trial counsel before and during trial to ensure a proper record is established, and potential errors are preserved for appellate review.
